Due to the snow coming in, Dave and I are taking off now. Be safe driving home everyone!

Well, we're in the middle of getting a foot of snow at about an inch an hour, so I can't imagine the already 1.5+ hour trek back into the South Shore, towards the storm, where there's a family waiting on the other side.

Exactly. It's snow going right now. We're topping out at maybe 40 mph.

We got home at 4:30. I-84 was a mess but better than I expected. Averaged 35mph or so. Hope everyone got home safe.

Had a great run.... the snow at GG was awesome. The drive back, not so much. Great seeing everyone.

I had a great time too. The snow/ice combo made GG very interesting today. It's pretty impressive that Scott was in his buggy all day. No heat or windshield. And a piece of canvas clipped to the roll cage for a roof. That is dedication.

I was only on 84 for a few minutes, then routes 190 and 83. A 50 minute drive home took me an hour and 20 minutes. Traffic was moving somewhere between 30-35 on roads I usually do 50+.

I finally got home after 4 hours! 3 hours to Dave's house, then one more to mine.

It usually takes me 1.25 hours from home to Sturbridge.

Saw a 6 car pileup on 90 east on the way home. Lots of cars off the road. Took me 2 hours. Not bad all things considered.

Great fun today :woohoo:
but very slick and scary at times
there was some bad carnage :( and pucker moments
but I hope everyone had a good time anyway.
I got in around 6pm , stop and go on the pike.... 395 was a joke
44 was empty and relaxing .
got to my last exit and idiots trying to go up a hill with 2wd cars and trucks slipping
so I weaved in and out of them towing the runner...lol too funny
the plows had been by so I had to clean a spot for the truck and trailer at home..

I may hit Freetown tomorrow sometime...
got to see what mama has for me to do first...

Thank you everyone for Attending the run
weathering the cold and driving through a snow storm.

Regardless of the multiple pucker moments, I had a great time. It was great seeing old and new faces.

I am not sure if the ride home was worse then the wheeling pucker moments at times. Hope everyone got home without incident.

Catch ya all on the next one!

In fortunately there is one hill climb that has been named Diaper hill
for one you need one at times while on it
and there was a Bert and Ernie one found at the top by me when the trail was cut,
that being said , It clamed another victim.. a 4dr wrangler sahara
Joe was climbing the hill and got 3/4 of the way up and started slipping.
he couldn't go up any more and had to back up.
the hill was slick and he slid back very fast got caught starting to go sideways
slipped off the trail and into a large tree on his r/r bumper and quarter.
huge bang and then silence....
lost the lens , bent the bumper , buckled the quarter. and popped one of the mounting bolts for his high lift.
No Good at all.
Congrats to Joe
who sucked up the damage and disappointment and continued to wheel the rest of the day.
We found out later that David and Mike had a bad moment in the other group as they slid backwards down another large hill on the other side of the property.
they managed to make it to the bottom and miss everything but not a fun ride.
nerves were shaken though out the day do to the conditions..
