If I can't find a new front cross member soon, I won't be making this run. My front cross member is so jacked it is a 1/2" above the bottom of the oil pan, so when the skid is attached it is actually pushing against it. Fingers crossed for finding a new one!

Any luck? Not to many Xterras at the "u-pull-it" places up here.

I think the plan for Rausch is to drive early Saturday morning with my boys and stay at twin grove Saturday night. My wife changed her mind twice already so we will see... I am going regardless. I am just not sure who my passengers will be.

Who else is wheeling Saturday (4th) at Rausch? I know Brunkhorse (blues & up) is going to be there with a few others.

LizardKing - you plan to wheel Sat? Greens/Blues?
Primerhb55 - ? Greens/Blues?
Anyone else?

I'll be there, primarly greens on Sat till I get more comfortable with the Jeep.

I'm only wheeling on Sunday as planed.
I’m planning to leave Brooklyn at 1100 on Saturday, January 4th 2014.
That should put me at Porters Pub - 700 Northampton St, Easton, PA at 1245-1300 unless I decide to stop off at OK4WD.
Leaving after lunch

That should put me at TwinGrove campground in Tremont, PA, distance - 75miles, ~1.5hrs around 1430-1500 unless I decide to stop off at Cabela’s.
Map; Porter’s to TwinGrove

On Sunday, January 5th 2014 I plan to be in the parking lot at Rausch by 8am and on the trail by 9am.

I'll run some with you Suresh. Green Blue... it doesn't matter as long I am out in the woods driving my truck. I might step up to full blues on Sunday depending on turnout and conditions.

Yes I'll be there with my bro and maybe another Jeep. We will probably be hitting up blues and any green trails we need to take to get to the blues.

Not sure who to let know on here. I'm out of this run. I registered for the Rausch Creek run, either it changed or I was reading the wrong one, but I did not realize that this run was on Sunday. I will probably still come up and wheel on Saturday, but am not participating in the run as I'll be driving home to work on Monday.

I am picking up a part from Cherry Hill that we think is correct. It is labeled as the "3rd Cross Member" even though it is the 2nd one from the front in the diagram. Fingers Crossed.

so how much will I be chastised for not having a CB during this run at Rausch if it is really only my first time out wheeling?

I doubt anyone will give you a hard time. Just let your trail leader know and get somewhere in the middle of your group. Everyone should be keeping the truck behind them in sight unless you're clearing an obstacle so no one gets left back.

What Tom & Mike said. You'll be fine without a CB. Just remember to remove the factory side steps & mudflaps if you still have them.

Also read on the Rausch Creek forums that their credit card machine is broke & expecting to have a replacement by Friday.

Just in case it doesn't, I'd bring cash too as a backup.

It is no big deal. It is nice to have though if you need a spot or help. Sometimes the trail leaders get jaded and don't remember how scary it can be the first time out (guilty  ). If a first timer has a CB, I am more likely to let them know about some upcoming area. If it is really rough, I will still get out of my truck and let them know.

I have been in groups that talk on the CB all day long and I have been in other groups that don't say a word....
