Who likes to go camping? I like to go backpacking when I can, but because of my knee, I have to do car camping. What kind of camping do you like to do?

Where do you go? My girlfriend and I go up to the white mountains to Mt Chucura or around the Kangamangus Highway. I spent a crapload of gear, so guess you can say I like it too.

I wish I had more time...around this time of the year I always say we are going to do more of it! And never have time.

When I was a teenager a bunch of my buddies and myself went up in the Adirondacks for a week.

I'm with Jeff. I love camping and wish that I had the more time to do so.

Yeah now being outta work I have all the time in the world, but it now boils down to not having the cash.

The only way you would ever catch me camping is under the big-s k y of Montana or the like. Camping in a place where I can walk to a wal-mart just has no appeal to me. Give me a bed and running water every time.

I love to camp and do it a lot from wilderness camping to tent camping in State parks. The problem it that even camping in a tent has gotten expensive. Even the State parks are $32 a night for a tent site in an area where you can get a hotel room for about twice that.

Camping is great for the sake of camping. Never a good idea for a cheaper place to stay when you are trying to do something else.

We stayed in cabins many times this winter for snowmobiling. Just a small cabin with a double bed, two bunks and heat. No running water. But it's warm and cozy and the truck and sleds are right out the door. When we go snowmobiling for the weekend, I part the truck and we use the sleds to go everywhere...from breakfast to dinner..it's a lot of fun and we can bring the dog. By the time we get back at night, all I need is a warm place to sleep. I don't need any amenities. I can pee in the woods.

I've been going here almost every summer of my life.

It's in the least populated town in Vermont, the campground is 6 miles off the pavement on a beautiful lake that is great for fishing, boating and swimming. There are miles and miles of logging roads to explore, about an hour from Moose Alley in Pittsburgh, NH, the town is right on the Connecticut River and there are conviennce stores and gas stations about 30 minutes away. Campground sells ice and firewood, though I bring my chainsaw and head out to the logging road for free wood. Bathrooms with showers and electricity for women and hippies that want to use a hair dryer. There are waterfront sites, tent sites and sites with lean tos.

We should plan a group trip, it's a little over 3 hours from the MA/NH border. About 2 hours from Franconia Notch.

I am down for going anytime. I like how you said there are logging roads to explore. Sounds like a fun weekend. I went to school up in Randolph VT which is about 45 min south of burlington. It would be fun to convoy up there for a weekend of camping.

Michelle and her son go camping at the local campground. I haven't been camping since I was a kid.

E, I think that's an awesome idea for a late spring/early summer weekend get-together.

Logging road, huh? ;)

My team mates. You three are killing me.
You can get it together for an overnight sausage fest in the woods at the drop of a soap-on-a-rope but you can't manage to get down to Rausch to wheel more than once a year.

And I know that at least one of you MF'ers needs to get some "spotting" practice.
