Hey guys, I'm new here and someone in the introductions requested a build thread so I guess here it goes! Bought this off a home car salesman who probably got it at auction from a dealer in Long Island but turned out to be a one owner car. Probably took it on the sand fishing all the time. When I bought it the whole exhaust was non existent and most of the suspension parts were rust welded. I really bought it for the body. Was in very good shape for a 2000 and it was GOLD!! Lol. I'm a diesel mechanic by trade so the labor on the mechanical side was nothing new to me. Lots of things needed to be done to make it road worthy though. Year: 2000 Make: Nissan Model: Xterra SE Color: Ochre Metallic (GOLD) Transmission: Auto (for the wife) Stock Replacement Parts: Oil Pan Duralast Gold Battery Upper front differential bushing Front differential cleaned and repainted Full exhaust, cat back All exhaust hardware Upper control arms Lower control arms Front shocks Rear shocks Lower control arm bushings (PITA!) Front rotors Front brake pads Front ABS sensors End links Front sway bar bushings Rear sway bar removal Rear tire carrier removal Side steps removal Timing belt Tensioner Water pump Valve cover gaskets All fluids changed (except transmission) Bearings cleaned and repacked Probably forgetting other stuff.... Tire/Wheels/Suspension: Stock wheels Stock hubcaps(new) BFG A/T KO2 33X10.5R15 (5) Connor Towing Sleeve Receiver Lock for spare to tire carrier bumper AC 2 inch rear shackles Poor mans lift, torsion bar crank Armor: RLC Welding front bumper RLC Welding rear bumper with tire carrier Shrockworks rock sliders All painted with brush on bedliner finished with spray bedliner for even coat No skids yet Body: AC 2 inch body lift Trimmed front mud flaps Roof rack painted with bedliner All plastics painted with bedliner including hood cowl and new grill Mechanical: AC Steel braided brake lines AC idler arm brace Lighting: Baja Designs Squadron-R Sport Wide Cornering Amber Fogs Stock headlights Interior: Pioneer MVH-690BS Head unit Rockford Fosgate R165X3 6.5 inch speakers Kenwood KFC-6965S 6x9 speakers Noico 50 mil dynamat to full roof, all doors, quarterpanels and tailgate Falling ceiling cloth stripped out and sprayed with tan bedliner AntennaX 13 inch off road antenna Recovery: MAXSA traction boards Hi-Lift jack (mounted to tire carrier) Connor Towing Sleeve Receiver Lock for Hi-Lift jack to tire carrier 3/4 inch shackles 30,000 pound tow strap Hope I didn't miss anything! Only had it about 8 months. Lots more planned obviously. Any comments, ideas or questions would be welcomed!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
