Yeah that's all I did. I actually have a power distribution block under the dash and I just tapped into that I don't like the idea of cutting factory wires even though a lot of people do run it off of the dome lights its just piece of mind not doing it myself. Next plan is a platform for my tools and parts

After a long winter of very little wheeling and ABS electrical issues that kept me locked in 2wd im finally fixed up and the mod bug is back in full swing. I finally go around to putting together my harbor freight rack and getting some legs installed. I still need to install some more bracing and figure out how to mount it to the floor but its working well and pretty solid with my 3 tool boxes on top of it. Image

I also picked up a new cb radio it doesn't have the greatest reviews but it works and I only spent $25 for it. If it breaks in a year I still got my moneys worth. Image

I also picked up these shock mounts a few weeks ago. Image

And I got bored over the weekend and broke out the bedliner.

Later this week is upgrading my front and rear shocks, UCAs and shackles.

Well work has been good to me with overtime lately and having some extra cash hanging around I just couldn't resist buying some stuff. So I have a few last minute mods before ECXC.

This will be this weekends activities, just waiting on the 1 inch spacer from nisstec and my OME struts.

Also I felt that my X was going to look a little silly with a 2.5 lift and 31's that are pretty worn out. So I decided it was time to finally upgrade to a set of MT 33's.

BTW anyone know where I could find a used 285/75/16 for a spare?

Sweet!

Are those TC UCA's? Where did you get the TRE's from?

They are the TC knockoffs from Ebay. They are pretty solid and I haven't heard of any failures yet from anyone so I feel comfortable running them. The ball joints suck is the common complaint but they can be replaced pretty easy. The tie rods are Moog that I got from rockauto. Just about everything ive replaced up front is Moog now.

So I finally got a few consecutive days off to get my suspension done. This is what I found on both sides after removing the tires.
Image
This was the drivers side, the passenger side had a similar break on the lower end and another crack forming at the top. But that's apparently what happens when you run the factory shocks till 120k with no sway bars and wheel them a little too hard.

But out with the old and in with the new.
Image
For the front I went with Old man Emu HD coils and struts. Also I changed out the inner and outer tie-rods and boots and new cardone CV axles. I figured ill just get everything done in one shot and now I have some trail spares to carry.

For the rear I went with a set of bilstiens from PRG
Image

For the couple miles I put on it so far with the new suspension I love the ride. A little stiff without a bumper yes but not that bad and they will soften over the next couple weeks.

Also while I was waiting for the last few parts for my front coilovers to show up. I got bored and during ECXC some inspiration from the 718 crew and decided to buy some LED roof rack lights.
Image
Nothing special just some ebay lights. they work well. Its not a final finish this was just a mock up. I'm trying to find the best spot for light output and where its not an eye sore.
