I'm currently running 33x10.5x15 BFG AT KO tires.

So, I have 3 good tires with about 63622.4 miles on them...

I have a leaky spare with much less than that - but which pretty much looks like the others...

So I'm faced with a bit of a situation.

From what I've been told over the years, I know that I'm supposed to buy 4 new tires whent he time comes to replace them.

But the 3 good tires with 63662 miles look in excellent condition with tons of tread left.
So...
If I can get the leak fixed and keep that as a spare, do I just buy one tire and take may chances, or do I do the right thing and get 4 new tires and try to sell some of my X-tra spares???

Well in my opinion. they do have 63K miles on them. So if you was to buy a new tire it'll be different in size and could cause havoc on your LSD.

Plus how many miles are left on them? They have already lived a long life. I would say get a new set and try selling off anything good..

Since our trucks are four-wheel-drive and not all-wheel-drive there's no need to buy four since you are not in four wheel drive all that often. Just buy two at a time unless they are all shot.

Run the new tire on the front. FWIW, I was able to squeeze 100K out of some BFG AT's on my Suzuki.

Only two new tires are needed, and make sure they go on the REAR (unless you like fish-tailing around every corner)

I'd say buy two. If you decide to buy 4, you'll sell the old ones fast on Craigslist.

I've got some time to decide - so I'm going to do a lot of thinking about this.

Basically my concern was running out and buying 2 tires (because that's all I can really afford) and then causing problems in the drivetrain with them on the X....

for what it's worth, look around at the local junk yards. I once picked up a set (all four) of mint condition tires for $35 each because the bone head that used to own them ran his car into a phone pole, which left the tires and wheels in great shape. I had them mounted and balanced for another $60 . So, for $200, I was out the door with tires that probably only had 5k on them.
