I would have to say, IMHO, that the BF Goodrich A/T's or M/T's are probably the best all around tire if you are going to have one set. They are expensive, but they were like iron and work quite favorably in most all conditions.
I had a pair of 31" M/T's before I lifted my truck and they were great. I sold them after I got my lift with about 25K on them and they still looked great. Most heavily-lugged tires will not wear that well in highway driving.
My Trxus will only get a maximum of 25k, but at almost half the price, I can more afford to replace them.

I got em when 4wheelparts.com was having a special.They had free shipping and $75 off a set of 4 tires.
