Sorry it's not a How-To. Someone had already post a How-To on the headliner.

Here's the before and after photos:

I had some assistance with the use of these Interior Tools: http://www.genuinehotrod.com/itemgroup/Gentle-Pry-Tool-Kit

The hardest part I feel was pulling the headliner out of the vehicle. Being careful not to break any clips and other parts. The area that gave me the most difficulty was around the driver/passenger seat belt columns. The unclip easily, but the seat belt adjuster makes it difficult to have complete freedom. I actually cracked one. Not major, just enough to bother me. I think the crack is about an inch long, right behind the driver seat.

You also have to remove the weather stripping around the doors.

Another suggestion for anyone looking to do this... Make sure you leave some extra material and fold it up and over the FRONT by the windshield. For anyone with a FirstGen, the headliner starts to sag up front along the windshield. Doing this should hopefully prevent this from happening over the next 10yrs that you own your X.

Another tip: Here is the company I purchased the headliner and adhesive from. You can also request different color swatches to either match your current interior or change it up with a contrasting color. I don't believe they have an EXACT match. What I chose I feel was a either a shade lighter or my sunvisors are dirty. LOL

Thank you, thank you. In all honesty, it took me about 4hours. It may take someone with more experience less time. I took my time and kept referring back to my printed notes of the How To. I didn't want to break anything. I have a bad habit of doing that because I rush. LOL

It went in faster than it took to take it out. Even the Map Light was easier to remove than noted. I just used the Flat tool and pushed in one clip. When that popped out, the other side just dropped out. Putting it back in place was just as easy. I worked the left side in first. Depressed the clip with the Flat tool and the right side popped into place.

Great How To post by Xterra04. I wouldn't have tried to do it without instructions.

Its always better to take your time and do things right the first time. Doing things twice sucks!
