This is one I forgot to bring over from the old board. Just an alternative way to carry your spare during a trail run. I came up with this as I just didn't have the money for a Shrock rear bumper nor did I wish to have my spare crush me trying to get it off the roof. Takes about 3 hours to build when taking your time. If your interested in more explanations of how I did this, just PM me.

The basic idea and build

One thing that was important to me was that it be completely removable. That's come in handy as I've had to haul all my house cleaning stuff, etc. back and forth from NJ alot lately.

Again just an idea regarding carrying the spare tire.

That's really cool and definitely creative! Did you build the main tire holder from scratch (the metal yolk part), or did you have some place you sourced that from? I am looking to do something similar, but no welder = no self build.

Looks like he got that from Fabtech, they make lots and lots of stuff for Yotas. Thats what I really miss about my Toyota trucks, Downey, Northeast, etc etc thre were so many suppliers for modding.

That's correct. It's from Fabtech. It's really meant to be bolted into the bed of a pick-up. I simply made a removable bed. Runs about $100.00 to ship to CT.
