I just got my new, modified centerlink in the mail from HooHaa over at XOC.

He basically modifies the stock centerlink to replace the ball joints with spherical bushings, like L+P or the SLR econ setup. But HooHaa only charges $225 + $100 core deposit. This includes all the necessary hardware. The idler and pitman arms will have to be drilled to accommodate the larger hardware.

JoshuaTest and I will both be installing the centerlinks on our trucks, and I will post install pics and review.

:D

Ok, trucks are out in the driveway, and the work is about to begin. Pictures later tonight if all goes well... :)

The installs went great! It took us about 3.5 hours for Josh's truck, mainly delayed by the rust, and difficulty with pulling the pitman arm. We never did get the pitman pulled, so I drilled it out on the truck.

Also 6 cops arrested some guy in front of my house...

and then the water authority showed up and started digging up my front yard to put in a new emergency shutoff without telling me...

and THEN Josh had to leave (after being on the phone all day :P)

So I was left all by myself to do my truck..

My truck only took about an hour, mostly cause mine luckily has no rust, but I need to install new TRE's tomorrow as I tore the ball joint dust covers during the install.

Here are a couple pictures, and the rest are here:

His CL replaces the ball joints with spherical bushings.

Anthony, does it tighten up any loose play in the steering on the road. Mine is drifting almost as bad as my Jeeps. I've been looking for some reviews on this on XOC before purchasing.

This steering is VERY tight. The truck has no drift, and it just goes wherever you point it. It does take a little getting used to though, I've never driven anything with steering this firm before.

I would X2 that. My steering is very tight and very different from what it was. It was like getting used to it all over. Great service and very well built product.

Glad to hear you're happy with it too, Andy. It really does make a difference! (and my stock steering wasn't even shot yet)
