It was good getting out again with everyone today a fun time was had. Good timing on my departure as in addition to my bumper as I was airing up I noticed my second from bottom leaf had broken in half. Got a bunch of funny looks while taking a saws all to the bracket in order to get the hanging part off as it had already beaten the crap out of the shock and I am lucky it didn't take the tire out. Any suggestions on who to get new leaf spring packs from?

Hope to see you guys again soon and thanks for getting the two frontiers thru the tight trees there at the mill definately the tightest trail I think I brought that truck on.

Everybody seems to run the Old Man Emu Dakar leaf packs as alternatives to the stock saggy leafs that come on the X's and Frontiers. Just don't run their poly bushings. A set of OME leak packs is hardly more than buying one stock leaf pack from the dealer.

I broke a leaf yesterday, so I know how it feels.

I will take a loom at them. I think if it hadnt broke i wouldnt have hit the bumper as tbat side is abput 1.5 inches lower than the drivers side now. Also i am lucky i noticed as it was swinging around and only a matter of time before it hit my tire.

By the way the guy who was taking pictures of our license plates I believe I figured out who he is and he wasn't with the DEP he was just a Commision member of the conservation Commision of uxbridge. I would really like to lodge a complaint about harassment by following us into another state and berating people is not right. But I won't as all it will do is get them mad at the owner of the property. Still a jerk of a guy which according to the town Web page the are only an advisory commitee and only has the power of approving wetland permits and nothing else.

Just got home ,had a good time today. Glad the fronty guys had fun it was tough going. Believe it or not, that was the hardest trail, the others you would probably have been good.
That town guy was totally out of line, but a complaint will oily cause more internal issues I'd imagine.

Tom, good seeing again and wheeling with you, here is a good pic of your truck..

Got stuck in a 1 hour traffic backup on the highway on the way home. A standstill. People roaming around, walking their dogs, kids selling candy bars ... it was an experience. Home now drinking a cold beer - thinking about more wheeling tomorrow!

It appears the old man emu leaf packs cone with their bushings so who would everyone suggest rather then that so I can order it at once. At least I got another truck to drive as I had to cut the broken leaf out with the saws all it is not exactly inspiring confidence as the rear end bounces everywhere over bumps.

Ernie no apologies needed. I had a good time and once it isn't your daily driver damage ceases to be as tramatic as it was when you had to drive it to work the next day. I had a good time even though I groused a bit. Thanks for everyone's help spotting and getting us through. I was very happy to have gotten my truck through that.

Next time my rear end will be and inch or two higher with new rear springs.

Thanks Ernie for setting this up & everyone for coming out. It was a good run...sorry for the damage you guys had though, that sucks. We had fun & everyone got back safe.

As for me, the damage wasn't really too bad - mirror broke off & the door has a few dents... bah!..pretty standard for a modified run. Just ordered a replacement mirror. Will remove the door panel & try to tap out the door dents a bit so the window moves more freely. Mmm...maybe I can make a case for half doors now ;-)

BBQ in the evening was fantastic.
