Hey Guys & Gals,

Summers approaching, and I always seem to get that itch to do road trips of some sort. I thought that with there being so many new additions to the club that this would be a good time to throw together a M&G so we can put faces with usernames.

The last M&G we did was at Dino BBQ in Syracuse [pretty centrally located for most] and that was a great time- just wish we all could have sat more together.

So here's my question- Would you [this means all of you] be interested in attending an M&G to get to know eachother more and meet new faces that seem to be popping up everywhere lately [I swear it's the nice weather...]? If yes, please let me know when you think would be a good time to do this, majority rules, and if you have any other ideas as to a venue in the Syracuse area besides Dino BBQ. I have nothing against DinoBBQ and wouldnt mind going back, but its always nice to switch it up.

Gimme some feedback!

***Suggestions so far***
~Restaurant- TBD, w/plenty of parking.
~Park: Outdoor cookout. Kids & Dogs welcome!

Thanks everyone!
~Sarah

This sounds like a great idea! especially for the people that won't be making it to the wine tasting trip.

I think a cookout in a park would be nice. That gives kids room to run around, can play some games, etc.

who has kids? or are we talking about fur-kids?

actually Jeff that's a good idea.. i'll look at parks as well. Might be an opportunity to get a little muddy as well if it's the right park :)

I have 2 kids...a 4 year old and a 8 month old.

Something like a cookout would be kind of cool...around here there are a couple town parks New Hartford & Krikland,or there is always Verona Beach (state park) or Lake Delta (another state park) there is also Green Lakes park out by Chittenango. These are all easy to find and nice places to go...I'm sure there are a lot of places we could get together for a afternoon

if we decide on a restaurant, i would like to see something with plenty of parking and seating where we can all sit together.

the cookout in a park idea sounds good. it would be much easier for those with kids. (i will most likely have two by then :D )

I'll look into some of these as well!
If you've been to a particular park and favor one over the other let me know- places that might be able to accomodate all of our trucks easily would be good as well- thanks!

The state parks like Verona Beach (on Oneida lake)and Lake Delta have plenty of parking as well as cook out areas and a beach...I think they charge like $7 a carload, but that gets you in the park all day.Onondaga park is nice, but sometimes the odor from the lake is not very pleasant.

Sounds like a great idea. I used to go to Lake Delta a lot to go windsurfing. Have not been there in years.

Speedy and I also have 2 kids as well, so we are more apt to go to a cookout because then the kids could come, lets face it children and resturants don't always get along!

Definitely the park/cookout idea sounds the greatest to me, first weekend in June is out for Thumper and I since we will be at the Martinsburg run. But we would definitely be in for a M&G.
