What a day..
For being a short trail, it easily has the ability to easily take down the best trucks and drivers.

Big item of the day was Mike rolling his jeep, but we got it back on its wheels, got it back on its trailer and it's now in my driveway, waiting for us to blow out the cylinders tomorrow and get it rolling again.

Given what happened, it's pretty incredible that the damage is primarily cosmetic and, with the replacement of the windshield frame and windsheild, he'll likely be able to get back on the trail.

It was great to see everyone today.. and MaBell did not disappoint.

Wow Sorry to hear about Mike :(
Rolls are always tough on the vehicles and drivers.
I'm Glad that he is OK

Oh come on! I saw the big expensive cameras I wouldn't even know how to turn on! Where are the rest of the pics?! I need moar! Lol

It was an awesome day of wheeling and I was happy to finally meet everyone. Glad to see everyone made it home ok. I hope everything is ok with your Jeep Dave and that it was mostly cosmetic.

Mike and I got the Jeep running about 20 minutes ago and it's looking like all we need to do is get a new window frame, bang out the fenders a bit and get it rolling.

Glad to hear that you two got it running. What did you guys end up having to do to get the rig running?

Also who had the Black 2nd gen with the black chrome Nissan and Xterra badges? Did you do that yourself or did you buy them?

We pulled the plugs, ran the motor for a bit (on just the starter) and cleaned and reinstalled the plugs.

It fired up the first time and ran without issue.

It's looking like the major damage is just the windshield frame and that might be replaced for as little as $200.

So, all is well

Nope..
She was cool with how things turned out.
We had stopped by to see the guy that installed his suspension lift and he gave us the run down of how big the problem was.

Since it turned out to be wholly cosmetic, it was not that big a deal

I just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone for their help this weekend after I rolled the jeep. I appreciate all the support and "professionalism" of this club.

Everything from making sure I was ok and out of the rig safely, getting the jeep upright smoothly, everyone moving their rigs out of the way, getting me down the hill, plus cleaning & carting the oil spill (and disposing properly) shows this group is a real class act.

It'll be a life lesson for me about "patience". I'll carry a bruised ego for a while... with less throttle and more patience and the whole thing would've been a non-event. Of course it's burned into the firmware of my psyche now.

On the plus side the jeep took it as well as can be expected. Bolt on parts and it'll be back on the trail in no time, with some war wounds of course.

If anyone has pictures I'l love to get a copy.

Cheers!
Mike

P.S. Wife is cool since I was ok. She just wants to know how soon we can get the rig on the trail so she can drive it. ;-)
