How about this for an excursion event? We could spend a day driving to winerys, tasting wine (bring a guest to be a driver) and camp someplace on one of the lakes out there. Sometime this summer might be nice.

Jessica and I would definitely be up for it. Actually planning on heading up there in May for a long weekend.

I love that idea Scott. Erin and I love to go wine tasting, and since I think we are skipping the Wine Festival this year, this would make up for it!

Which trail would we hit? I've done several of the Cayuga area ones and a few of the lower Seneca area ones.

Any of theme would be fine. I would opt for the Cayuga ones, camp at Taughannock Falls and hit Ithaca for dinner.

that sounds like a great trip to me. and close to home to boot..so Erin and I could even do a day trip if need be. (ithaca is only 45 min. away)

If you guys feel like making a weekend out of it you can come down to long island east end. I'm sure there are enough vineyards to keep you busy for a weekend. ;)

Rebecca and I would do this. She would love it, We did this summer of 2004 when I went to visit a friend in Buffalo, I have to go out there again in the spring to pick up a motorcycle he is storing for me that I bought on ebay, and we have family in Syracuse that we will stop in to see.

Can i vote that this happens this spring, oh wait I doubt they will have alot of wine to tatse then huh?

Ok August is good. :)

ok people...we are going to go ahead with this event. it will be a day of wine tasting on the cayuga wine trail (ithaca area), followed by a cookout and camping at Taughannock Falls State Park (located just north of Ithaca).

so..we are trying to pick the date. we want to hold it in August, so please..only if you are interesting in going place your vote in the poll at the top of the page for a Saturday in August.

the poll will close in a few days.
