Catastrophic UCA failure out of nowhere. This is from my other half's potato phone. Currently getting dragged across the city on a bus to see it myself...gonna stash it at Colonial Nissan overnight and play it from there.

My OEM UCAs are kicking around somewhere. They only have around 30K miles on them. Figure out how to get them quickly and they're yours. Of course it would be a good time to upgrade to SPC.s.

I ain't got the money for SPCs (after this).
So turns out it was the ball joint. Took the CV with it (pulled put of the axle, boot is shredded), and there was brake fluid all over the caliper too. Hopefully the coilover is okay (looked dry).

So, update: My X is back!
I managed to get my insurance to cover it! They weaseled me into doing it under accident coverage instead of comprehensive, but at least I didn't have to fork everything over up front (though the rate hike will ensure that I do eventually). So one deductible in and I'm back on all four.
UCAs on both sides were replaced, as were tie rods, brake line, and CV on passenger side. Not terrible.
Luckily enough, NissTec is running a 10% special AND free shipping on SPCs, so once I figure out Paypal financing I'm gonna pick up a set by month's end. I'm sure lower ball joints will need to be replaced too, so I'm pondering if it's worth the effort to track down a press or if I should go full Moog down there (although now's a good time as any to start to consider a Titan Swap).
