I started with a 95' Pathfinder. I love that thing to death do us part (literally). Had it as my first truck, I'd give my left nut for either a clean 88' or a Crew Cab Hardbody. Anyways, I'm just gunna copy and paste from NPORA so I don't have to link and relink and whatnot. The finder's name was Sashana. No reason, just liked the name.
---PASTING COMMENCING----
Yea. Long story.
Â
Driving on the 87 back down from Albany. Right before exit 14b. Right on the turn. I was pulling away from a guy in the middle lane so as to not PIT him. Anyways, compensation for the corner too and with the cruise control on at 77-79 (flow of traffic) the back end lost traction. Started sliding around the front and i ended up sliding into the middle lane (i was in the left lane the whole time before). The same guy i was trying to avoid T-bones me. (I would have made it out of the whole slide fine if I wasn't hit.) The t-bone pushed me faster to the right side of the road where I then kept sliding onto the breakdown area then the front wheels hit the dirt and she rolled 3.5 times. Landed upside down. The first thing that hit the ground when the roll started was the driver side A-Pillar. (The one on the left side of the windshield). Well that took a huge hit (full weight) and it didn't even really bend in. Then the truck did what I call a tornado roll. (the truck doesn't roll sideways but more so on its hood and front end). Chopped up the whole drivers side to get m out. I came out and was in the ICU for 8 days. (shattered spleen internal bleeding) 3 broken ribs, broken left clavicle, and broke a bone in my back. Anyway's I'm all good now. If I wasn't on a turn and if I wasn't T boned I would have been fine. :] (turn didn't matter much now that I think back to it)
Â
So just to make it easy...my damage count?
Â
Well aside from breaking my left arm 3 times in previous years (Elementary - Middle school)
And breaking my right 2 times and fracturing it 2 times (Elementary - Middle school)
Â
This accident gave me:
Â
Shattered spleen
Broken Collar Bone (Clavicle)
3 Broken Ribs
Broken Back (still hurts in the morn if I sleep funny)
PICTURES...hopefully if I can copy/paste correctly, forgive me for screwing something up along the way.
Â
That Rear Bumper was being held on, on this side with zip ties before the accident.
Â
Â
Passenger side. (side that I was bumped on)
Â
Â
We forgot those head rests... :C
Â
Â
Used the Jaws of Life to get me out.
Â
Â
A-Pillar meet's the roof. This is pretty much what saved my life. (aside from the seat belts)
Â
Â
Dad's Picking out my Wheel Centers.
Â
Â
Not sure if the JoL did that to the wheel or something else. I'm pretty sure it was the JoL.
Â
Â
Those three white marks don't look like much but they are what pushed me to the right side of the road so fast.Â
Â
Â
Yes, That IS the hood. O.o
Â
Â
Hood again..
Â
Â
One last and final whole shot. She saved my life...I wish I could have saved hers..
I'll get around to posting about the Xterra tomorrow AFTER I finish the essay I'm procrastinating.
