Hi everyone I just purchased an 08 Xterra with 50k miles from original owner, I went from a 03 Jeep Cherokee which I destroyed :( anyways I'm looking to meet up people with Xterras and maybe get together to do some off road trips or just go for a ride on trails. Again I'm new with the Xterra so I'm going be having many dumb or smart questions I think. Oh I live in NY on the Hudson Valley area.

Thks everyone for all the welcomes, I'm in the process of biffing up my X but I got family and kids so is also going be a family, daily driver car that means I won't go crazy just a 3inch lift with an suspension upgrade, stock tires and spare set of bigger tires with stock rims to hit the trails I just want to try to hang out with the big boys

Welcome from MA

With all 2nd gen Xterras there a big cost difference between 2in and 3in suspension lift, because of the level of involvement with more parts.

If you're not going to go too crazy, Id stay close to 2inches of lift, and spend the rest on skids, sliders, front and rear recovery points.

Upgrading to 33s is always a good call and can be installed stock without lift, google melt mod.

Keep an eye up on the boards or Craigslist OEM Xterra/Frontier rims are always for sale.
