Steve, you're referring to the private land he was talking about, of which permission has been denied.... I believe that is what you are talking about.
Land to wheel on is getting tough to find. More and more public trails get closed every year and I will no longer go on questionable trails. The land which I was originally going to use is not available that weekend or any other Saturday this fall and Sundays don't work for people who have to travel.
I'm still working out final details for this land, but the trails are nice and what I call true wheeling: in the woods, tight trails and not well traveled. What happens is since they are not worn down, there is a lot of organic material which can make things very slick, particularly in wet conditions. Rocks are easy; unblaisened trails can be tricky, but again, I think true offroading. I just don't want anyone to get in over their head and there was a fair amount of carnage the last time I went with a group of Xterras...but it was fun. We would also most likely need to limit the number of trucks, but we should have plenty of room for riders so all who want to can come.
