Connor happened to ask me about ECXC and I said I hadn't heard anything, then I come here and find registration opened last month. Y'all need to get the word out :) I spread the word on the VAXC and NOAS FB pages.

Question: Is there a discount for ECXC at Twin Grove this year? I already booked a cabin with AAA discount, not sure if the ECXC rate would be any better.

See y'all there!

You should be on here more & help spread the word dude. There’s no ECXC discount at the campground this year.

Wanted to give a shoutout it Will/Ripper who is donating a HiLift handle keeper to the raffle. Anyone who has a hilift knows the handle keeper is an essential piece of gear have.

Thank you Will!

Hey guys about to register today and was curious if you think I’m ready for the intermediate trails or should I stick to stock? I know that Rausch and AOCC aren’t gremlin? Thoughts?

Oh and a big thanks to our supporting Vendors and also the officers for putting this together.

Mike - Rausch Creek has varying levels of trails even within the colors....eg. easy blues, hard blues etc. I haven’t been to AOAA yet so can’t comment on that.

My recommendation would be to start on the greens for one day & then try blues the next. That’ll give you a flavor of trials, will be a lot of fun & gives you some choice for the next day. Regardless of what you run, it’ll be a blast. You have full skids etc, so your rig should be fine to run blues. It’ll mostly be a mental thing.....

I don’t remember ever being on a trail with you so can offer any personal insight regarding your individual level however you can find descriptions of Trail Ratings including “intermediate” HERE.
IMHO if you normally run “Green” or “Stock” type trails I wouldn’t step up a level at AOAA as their trail rating seem a bit understated (I’ve been on “Blues” I thought where “Blacks”).
If you’ve never been to ether venue I’d suggest waiting to “step up” until the last day at Rausch. Unless the first at AOAA you find yourself bored to tears…
That said, picking a daily trail level helps us line up “Trail Leaders” for each day however you are never “locked in” to any group you might not feel comfortable being a part of. You can request to be moved each morning or even in the middle of the day. No one will make you run any trail you don’t want to.

Yeah. AOAA's blue seem to be dark green or black. Maybe 1 or 2 that I'd consider true blue. I believe the trails were rated by a Wrangler on 40s.
