I need to register, please let me know if at all possible as I can send my payment immediately. I was visiting family in Portland Oregon the past 2 weeks and did not realize that the registration closed.

Good morning, everyone!

We are 48 hours away from this year's East Coast Xterra Challenge!!!

This is crunch time! I'm running around doing last minute errands AND doing all my packing today!

Please be sure to save and check the Event Agenda page for times and location information throughout the event.

Nexterra events require that all registered drivers and their passengers sign a club waiver. This year, we are accepting electronically signed waivers. In the Nexterra Club waiver, there is a field at the bottom that will allow you to sign with a digital ID (when using Adobe Acrobat). Once you have signed the waiver, please save a copy and email it to ecxc@nexterra.org. Make sure you include your screen name in the email. Each registered driver and all passengers will need to fill out one of these waivers. Why not take the time now to download, fill it out and email it to us? It will save both you and us time!

Just another reminder that Nexterra will be hosting another Nexterra Night at Moose's LZ again. Come join us for a night out with other Xterra enthusiasts! The first 50 people who sign up AND show up to this Friday night event will receive a limited edition ECXC 2018 morale patch!

We only have 50! Once they're gone, they're gone forever! Don't miss out on yours!

If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please let me or any of the Nexterra Events Committee members know.

Sorry fellas not going to make it out. Headed out at 02:30 and got an hour out and then AT oil temp light came on. I was blasting it coming out and hitting the OD off button at 80mph think that's the reason. AT oil light went off as I pulled off the highway. Had no CEL but hooked up the OBD and got P0744 code for torque converter clutch intermittent. Drove all the way home got back at 05:00. Went to Nissan to pick the tranny guys brain and he advised me to drain and fill. I did so and headed back out at 12:00. 30 miles out the AT temp light came back, wasn't pushing it at all too. No OBD trouble codes this time. Turned back and 5 miles later it went away again. Got home without incident light never came back. Went to 2 transmission specialists and they advised against a third attempt. Playing it safe sitting this one out. Found used tranny and tcase for 350, picking it up Saturday installing it the next weekend. Here's a shot of the fluid just drained against new fluid. There is also gold flakes in there you can't see unless up close. FMLImageImage

It's Justin man. You have any knowledge on solutions? Should I drop pan and pull solenoids out for inspection before doing entire swap? It would save a whole lot of headache.

Well, the gold flakes are probably shavings from your thrust washers/bushings (Brass parts, etc)...not a good thing....and solenoid swapping won't fix that.

When the juice is that dark, usually, you cooked it.

Combine the two issues, depending upon how LONG you went cooked and shaving, etc...swapping in rebuilt, etc, makes sense.

Gotcha. Well just did a drain, changed filter, cleaned connections and then strained the oil and slapped it back in.ImageImage

Another ECXC has come and gone, and this year felt like it flew by fast!

Thank you to all of the Nexterra club officers and events committee members who helped make this event come together. Without you guys, this event wouldn't run as smooth as it did.

Thank you to all who attended, whether it was your first ECXC, second, third or even 18th! Without all of you we wouldn't have an event to run!

I hope you all had a fun time this year, and I'm hoping that you all return next year in 2019! The dates will be July 18 - 20.
