If anyone wants to caravan to the camp ground the i84 route

Leaving on Wednesday July 13th.





1st meeting spot:
Meeting Time: 7:00 am.
Location: Park and ride adjacent to Chili's off Exit 21 on Rt 91.
Departing time: 7:15 a.m. Sharp!


2nd meeting spot:
Meeting Time: 7:30- 8:00 am.
Location: TA Southington, 1875 Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike, Milldale, CT 06467
Departing time: 8:30 a.m. Sharp!


3rd meeting spot:
Meeting time: NOON (roughly)
Location: Arlene & Tom's Restaurant 265 E Main St, Port Jervis, NY 12771
Notes: This will be the final pit stop until we get to the campground. We will have lunch and a drink or two for the final leg of the trip. We will also find a gas station around this area to fill up.
Departing time: After lunch

Might catch you guys somewhere on the road, I'll be bound for Springfield that morning. Can't join, sadly, but maybe I'll wave.

I'll be going the I 84 route with David R. and hopfully Mike?
we were going to meet at the TA in Southington for 8:30am
then head west on 84. and stop at that restaurant in port jarvis NY.
I'll be going slower because I'll have my buddy's trailer this time.
The Brakes are fkd on mine right now.
I'm sure we will all meet on 84 along the way if you guys start out later.
I want to beat the local morning traffic and get on 84 w early.

Matt and Chantelle are unsure of when they will leave R.I.
but they are aware of my plans and will be traveling I84 route as well.

Southington, CT? And you going slow!!! I heard that last year too...

Yep that's the plan
all of us eastern, leaving home no later than 5:30 am
2 to 2 1/2 hr. trip for all, so we should be there 7:30-8
maybe grab a bite or coffee, bathroom break, fuel, ect.
we should be set and ready to go for 8:30 or earlier.
2+ hours to Port Jarvis for a break and lunch
then another 2+ to the campground.

And Yes I will Be Going Slower This Time

Suresh, I am just going to go to the TA in Southington. You might want to do the same from your house getting on 84 might be easier.

Ernie, no problem on going slower. Unless you are saying 45mph I might consider not following you.

Southington, CT is ok. But I might have to leave later in the morning (~10-10.30). So, right now, I'm going to be tentative for the convoy. Will confirm next week or before.

After thinking about this, I may not be able to meet up that early. My sister is coming over that morning to watch the kids, and I may need to stick around until she arrives (Cindi is leaving for work an hour earlier than normal due to summer hours).

SO, that means, I may not be leaving the house until 8-8:30.

slower means 60-70 rather than 80.
