No plan yet, just putting it out there. Would anyone be interested in going to a Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees game on Sunday July 22nd at 5pm? For folks driving north after ECXC it would be on the way home (click here for directions). What do you think? They?re playing better than their NY affiliate.

Can't win every year.
I watch bad baseball, good baseball, any baseball, I watch South-American baseball in the off season.

Red Sox fans are the only ones that watch only their teams games and that?s ?cause they think it?s hip not ?cause they like the game.

what I cannot understand is I get the Yankees in HD and I have SNY in HD, but the Mets games are never broadcast in HD.

It drives me nuts because once you see baseball in HD everything else sucks.

The Mets are the step child of New York baseball. They're in first place and still can't get "Game of The Week" or sell out a week day game. :?

All of the Mets Home Games are broadcast in HD on the SNY Network.
SNY signed an contract for ?# of years and NEP ( TV Production truck company ) built a spanking new HD truck just for them to use.

To get the word out last season SNY traveled the truck all over the US to broadcast Mets Games in HD. I was the Power guy for all of the pre-season games in FL. ( What a hell of a schedule that was )

This season SNY will only Broadcast Home Games in HD and all of the Away Games will be in Digital. They had to cut back the amount of traveling the HD truck did cuz it was getting too costly for the Network.

For the most part Not a single network owns their own Production Truck. They all rent them from a hand full of companies i.e. NEP, Game Creek Video, AMV, NMT F&F and Dome Productions to name a few.

The cost to make one of these trucks IS AMAZING. You are looking at $15 to $20 Million for an HD truck and most of them need a second unit to carry all of the extra gear like Cameras, monitors and Cable and this truck is around $1 to $10 Million with all of the gear in it.

Just a little TV info for some of you guys
