I'm soooo close Gene I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Just a few things left to do. I broke the starter putting it on so its off to the junkyard for a new one tomorrow. I also have a few electrical connections to figure out. My harness has different connector ends on a few of them. After that, just need to put the radiator in, change the oil, and fire it up!

It wouldn't be right if you guys moved up to a New Class. The whole dang point is to beat you guys. We already beat everyone else last year and all that is left is NeXterra.

If you move up then so do we. You are not getting away from this Challenge that easy.

OK considering I do not want to miss my only chance at ANY (last) ECXC. :( :o :( Since I don't see any FAQ on the main page I'm just sitting here in the dark guessing whether the finances can float it. :? I have a few questions for those who have attended/signed up.

Not thrilled about having to post my true name on ANY site so thought I would ask before registering. Is the attendies name truly needed or will initials be acceptable (if known)?

Is there a fee to sign up on the forum or just upon a finalization due date, to be determined by the host (Swampwrecker if my assumption is correct), to confirm your attendance, if able to do so?

If so does the fee cover the park (Rausch), camping, etc or just for the person's attendance to the event?

If there are additional costs, what would I be looking at (camping/hotel, food & park fees, etc), cost wise?

Any information is greatly appreciated. :? :?

Signing up gets you access to the forum. I register Svendog and don't give over too much personal information.

The fee is likely going to be around $40 and gets you the meal saturday night and paperwork, etc for the event.

General costs:
Camping: approximately $100
Park fees: $60-75
Food: $100

Normally what we do is get there and then, as a group, run to the grocery store and buy food for the week for all of us. That makes it both cheaper per person and helps us to deal less with who has what.

Last year, including gas (which was in the $4 range), I spent just around $500. With gas being half the price now, I'm thinking that it'll be closer to $350-$400.
