Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that Paragon 2 has now been closed.

Kyle and i talked this evening basically the low down is the Red Ridge Campground has a clean and green pact on it. Where the land can't be used for commercial use. In our area alot of famers have a pact like this with the state where they can't farm the land.

CLean and Green isn't a zoning thing. It's basically a crontract that says you have forested and field land that you are going to keep as forested or field land and you get a tax break for it. If it's forest, you can't do anything to it at all. If it's field, you are allowed to haybail it, but that's it. The land can be used for public (or semi-public) access and fees can be charged for that access, but that is all.

The benefit is that the land is treated as raw, undeveloped land. Even if a structure is on the land, it won't effect the land's taxes. Any violation of the clean and green pact requires payback with interest of the taxes saved by being in the program for a period of 7 years.
