Possibly. Though I'd like to avoid getting spit up on.

I've heard that cold air at a stop is indicative of a bubble in the coolant and that "burping" the system will resolve the issue.

I’ll do this when the engine is cold. I will park on an incline. Nose up. Make sure the radiator is topped of and the coolant reservoir is about 3/4 full. With the coolant reservoir cap off and the radiator cap on, (this is why i say the engine should be cool.) turn the X on. With the hvac system set to all the way hot and on defrost on, I’ll pop the hood and squeeze the upper radiator hose over and over.

The incline chases the bubbles up into the radiator. Pumping the upper radiator hose presses them into the overflow. As long as you have enough coolant in the res. the bubbles will be replaced by coolant. Replace the overflow cap. Heat all the time.
