Hey guys, so I bit the bullet and ordered the rough country 2.5 inch lift for my 2014 X. Other than an alignment is there anything special that needs to be done along with the lift? Sorry I'm knew to the truck community being that I came from a sports car Haha.

With 2.5" spacers on the front coils, you're going to get nasty coil bucket contact from the upper control arms. You'll either need to install uca bump stops or new ucas. I'll find you some links in a second

Yeah, bump stops are really just a band aid (which is what I'm doing now too) until you can get UCAs

Okay cool! If they're used as a "band aid" how long could they be run like that for? Being a college student it might be a while before I would be able to get UCAs

I've been running mine for a year so far. I don't wheel hard (or often enough for my liking), so they're holding up for now

After doing some extra research I'm a little worried that I don't have all the right parts. Is the loft kit and the bump stops all I need? I don't want to ruin my truck by doing this wrong. I've never lifted a vehicle before and thought the 2.5 inch suspension lift from rough country and the bump stops were all I needed. Is this right or am I missing something in order to have the vehicle working properly?

So would that one set be succidient? Or do I need two sets? I'm having a shop install it and I want them to have all the necessary parts to get this lift just right. Sorry, I'm learning as I go along.
