Had a long day Saturday on my personal mod day. I replaced my lca's for the second time, lower ball joints were bad,1 boot ripped open the other just loose. Replaced upper ball joints on my spc arms and pulled driveshaft and front diff in prep for lokka install. Several smashed fingers, cut knuckles and cold beers later got it done. Alignment done today and dropped diff off at an axle shop in Ellington. Diff should be back by the weekend and I get to button everything back up. Just in time for our June run, can't wait to see how much difference the lokka makes in the rocks of ma bell.

Nice... Summit & MaBell should give it a good workout.

Excellent! I'm looking forward to your feedback on the locker after your first winter.

And of course it will be fun seeing it in action on the 6th.

Just remember the half shafts are the weak link with a locker. I snapped another one at OFR.

Where did it snap? At the CV or the Stub end in the diff?

A long few weekends and its done. New Moog lca's, upper ball joints on my spc arms and diff put back in with lokka installed. Found a local gear shop to install my lokka for $150 if I brought him the diff, figured that was cheap enough and had them do the install. Nothing hard about the work, just takes some muscle and hours doing everything by yourself. Oh,did a 5 tire rotation and had it aligned, long story on the Firestone idiots but I won't get into that. Tested the lokka on a local dirt road,it definitely changes the steering, its stiffer and does want to return to center in a hurry, nothing I can't get used to though. The real test is in a few weeks on a ma bell, can't wait for that.

Broke another cv last weekend, this time the outer cv joint gave up. Had it swapped out in 30 min.

Curious to see how the lokka handles off camber slippery situations.
