 Post subject: Volant to Snorkel adapter

does anyone have any ideas how to water tight connect the snorkel tubing to the volant air box? volant doesn't sell the adapters for 1st gens ...

It seals fairly tight. You just have to seal up that foam piece with silicone and then seal the top with weather seal and silicone.

and how to you connect the round snorkel pipe to the air box, there is no adapters anywhere i could buy.

Maybe measure both and use plumbing materials like rubber couplings and such... You should be able to dis-assemble it in case of repair with ease I would think. The Safari adapter mines came with doesnt fit so... After we build my box for mines im gona def do this.

the opening on the air box is to big for any plumbing couplings im gona try and make one out of fiber glass

They got no hub couplings up to 12" diameter, I think its smaller than that lol. Just measure and go to home depot and get creative w it, idk...

So depending on room, its a reducer coupling oval to round. Hopefully its 4" cuz thats all im finding. I work for a Steam supply company here in BK, I'll ask some plumbing warehouses if they know of anything. Send me the diameter of the oval, and lemme know what size u wana bring it down to.

the box hole is roughly 8 inches wide 4 inches tall and its oval. here what this guy did out of fiber glass, im looking for something similar out of rubber or plastic.
