Does anyone know if Xterra's ever came with factory cassette decks or maybe duel cassettee / cd decks? If so, does anyone have one sitting around? |

Yeah my 2001 came with the cassette/cd one, sorry I'm using it though. |

Mine came with both. I have not had any cassettes in years. |

I bought one off a person on XOC so that I could listen to XM through a cassette feed. Works like a charm |

There is a plug in that head unit somewhere to hook up the CD changer that was available. I believe you can use it to hard wire other stuff. Someone hard wired their iPod through it and posted about it. It was really cool but I can?t remember where it is, I'll try to find it, |

It was on XOC... There is an extra hookup in there - which I saw when I was mounting it - that could be used for extra accessories |

Works like a charm that's why i'm looking for one. between my XM and my Ipod, I don't listen to any CD's, and I'm pretty disappointed with the FM modulator I got for my ipod. I had the factory 6 disk changer in my truck so it doesn't have the changer connector. |

I don't know, but I think you should since the changer was connected somehow. Check with Ken or go to XF, there was a multi-page thread on this over there as well. |

mine was the in-dash changer, so there would be no need for an external changer connector. |

Sorry, I misunderstood what you said. There was still a long post on XF about hacking into it. |
