Finally had a weekend to myself to replace the track bar, drag link & tie rod on the Jeep....
Track bar install - got the old one off, the bushing on the frame-end looked shot. Hopefully that was the cause of my death wobble issues.
Track bar end that looks like it's seen better days:
Tie rod - removed the old one (BFH helped), prepped the new one.
and then the damn Drag link - the axle side came out with a few whacks of the BFH. But the end connect to the pitman arm....arrgggg.... will not budge. BFH, PB blaster, pickle fork...nothing works. I'm hoping I didn't damage the steering with the hammering. Borrowed a few ball join separators from Autozone but none work because there no room to stick them on top of the bolt.
In the pic it looks like there's plenty of room but the cross member is just a few inches above the bolt.
Anyways, I've left it soaking in PB blaster now. Ordered this from Amazon (Ball Joint Separator), which should work with the limited space. None of my local store have this kind.
Two days of bumming rides to work is going to suck. Oh well...
