Anyone ever replace an instrument light? The light near the tach on my '02 Xterra is burnt out and I have been told it is a major undertaking. Of course I was also told my fan blower resistor was a $200 repair and found out otherwise and bought the resistor from my local auto parts for $35 and after 15 minutes with my electric screwdriver was back in business. That's why I figure it doesn't hurt to dig deeper!

You would need to pull the instrument cluster to replace the bulb. it's a little time consuming but not hard to do.
