Took a 'cue' from Scott.

Yes, it started as a real billiard ball. Drilled it out and inserted a nut.

I just realized it looks crooked in the picture. in reality its actually straight...

I have a 9ball for the tcase shifter, but I couldn't get the dang knob off that one last night.

Looks great, but how comfortable is the 8 ball as a 5 speed shifter knob?
I was contemplating the same thing, just worried about comfort.
Let me know.
Thanks.

I like it better than the stock one actually.

I had also replaced my wrx shifter knob with a round one. I guess I just like the feel better.

You have pull like hell to get that t-case shifter off. I used a 24" pipe wrench.

Anyone know what size the stud is on the manual shifter?

I'm looking at one of these:

http://www.flameball.com/EghtBall/Series1.htm

But you have to order either 1 7/8" or 2 1/8".

I'm a bit of a #8 fan....so I'm going with the red one!!

I can't remember what size it is. Take it off and take it to a auto parts store and get the right size and thread count. There is a nut in the shifter handle and a set nut. Get a couple and you'll be all set.

Jeff, some day we will build your soccer-mom car into a truck. :D

Now, now...gentlemen, let's play nice.

Oh, and there's a model of each color just for auto's. Comes with a button in place of the number for shifting.
