Disclaimer: I’m on light duty at work, which is essentially just sitting at the crew room table and listening to my headphones, looking at stuff online, reading, and running errands for the brass. Needless to say I’m bored and want to start a discussion and try to make things a little more active here.

So with that being said. What are your plans for your vehicle this year. Maintenance, upgrades, repairs, use. All of it

I’ll start.

Dual Battery and monitoring system
Replace rear axle shafts (leaky seals, one bent shaft)
Replace leaking from axle seals,
Drain and fill ALL fluids (brake, coolant, diff, trans, transfer case, engine oil)
Replace front Calipers
Replace rear pads and clean rotors. (old ones covered in gear oil from leaky seals)
Swap out rear Billstiens with rebuilt Radflos that I broke a few years ago
Install Hood Louver
Replace passenger rear upper door seal
Install new Batwing Awning
Repaint the frame and all the skids
Replace bearing in rear bumper swing out
Track down a few electrical issues
New tires (5)
Repaint wheels
Paint door trim.

Use wise, hoping to get one or two runs in this year. I should become a premium member so I can do the OFR run. I’d like to take a one or two back country camping trips in Maine. And the big trip this year is Going out to Colorado for our honeymoon and running the COBDR along with some other popular trails like Black Bear, Imogene, and a few others. Plus I really want to do a few non club sponsored, or spontaneous trail runs in VT and here in Western MA.

Ok lets hear it! What’s on your agenda?

As of right now, nothing too major. Although, I just had the alternator replaced, which wasn't on my list of things to do.

I'd like to:

  • Buy and install a winch
  • Install the fuse panel Leo gave me 3 years ago
  • Re-route the CB, LED light bar and USB port (installed a couple months ago) to the fuse panel
  • Install the undercarriage lighting I bought 3 years ago.

I think that's about it. I'm sure some major things will pop-up, since the old girl is turning 13 this April.

Besides maintenance I gots a long list, some of it has been waiting for years to get to and doubt I’ll get to it all;
Install front anti sway (already have parts)
Re-locate e-brake cable rocker (drill and tap above frame rail)
Weld tabs (already have parts) to radius arm and axle for ARB and brake lines
Box out radius arm mounts on crossmember
California Cat delete (already have parts)
New cover for front driveshaft that California Cat melted off
Figure out and make new oil pan skid
High Steer (already have Reid knuckles and hardware)
Relocate Track Bar mount after High Steer ((already have parts)
SOA (already have parts)
Slip Yoke Eliminator (already have part)
New rear axle (will need to order after SOA and SYE installed)
Might need antiwrap kit after SOA
USB charger in dash and back near rear outlet
Small led light over cup holder
Roof lights (already have parts)
Rock lights (already have parts)

 Holy crap am I behind.
I can get into more detail on any of this crap if you’d like but I think that’s the list…so far…

Not much on the radar for 2019. I'll need to put new tires on it this year. And I'll probably spend another year looking at custom front bumpers, but no plans to pull the trigger on that....unless I manage to damage it and "have" to upgrade it :)

It would be nice if you and some of these other folks started a "Show Your Ride" thread that had details and pictures of your build...

Me & Kevin will be do most of the work and I know the NYC-OFFROAD crew will lend a hand for the most part as well. Since it will be done in my drive way, we’ll have the opportunity to take unlimited amount of pictures. Should get started on breaking down the IFS & partially rebuilding the d44 no later than mid-March. Definitely stay tuned lol.

I was going to post my 2019 plans but after all those pictures of a SAS, I feel inadequate hahaha

~Finish armor - install diff skid and order/install HF skids
~XTP IMS
~PML + new UCA (SPC)
~window tint
~exhaust if I'm lucky enough to puncture my muffler on the next run
(if someone with a Phillips head crawls under my rig, I'm not looking..... )

Careful you don’t yank the whole exhaust off from the Y, then wrap it around your rear axle. Just saying.

I missed the axle wrap part. That's actually rather impressive.

I don’t know about the rest of the folks that visit this board but I’d be interested in looking at photos and reading about what has been done, what is being done and plans for the future of most of these trucks within a “Build Thread”.

Why not start one HERE? beer1

Biggest plan it to have a reliable X and to adventure more!

My List:

On board air
Rear shocks bilsteins
New leaf packs (replace shackles too with u bold flip)
Dual battery
Diff cover
Rear storage system
Brake Overhaul - longer brake lines front and rear, Brake master cyclinder, calipers (found the ones I want at good price) front brake caliper bracket, few lines that look suspiciously fragile
New Clean & Paint undercarriage
New ball joints
Paint body/fix rust spots
Hood shock mod
Install Awning
Relocate CB antenna to rear
Install rear back up lights in bumper
Front Fender liners
Trim front bumper
Exhaust fix - cats (going bad and one is bad), muffler
New Air box
Rear tire carrier
Rear window Molle panel
Dark tint rear windows
New Headlight assembly

Whats done so far:
HF Skids
WKO Sliders
2" lift - Bilstein adjustable 5100 shocks front with spacer
4600 stocks in the rear
2 inch shackle rear
33s 285/70/17 Atturo Trail Blade XT tires
CB in dash w/PA speaker (shush!!)
Aftermarket radio and sub (bc i like da boom!)
Few cosmetic changes i.e. painted bumpers some splashes of pink here and there :P

Most of them I can get done in 2019 some I can’t but they are still on the list anyways LMAO
I realize after I was typing for a while I got to thinking…damn this list is so long and I just keep adding to it!! But nothing replaces having your rig how you want it and maintained trail ready!
