Why does the forum seem so sleepy? I think Murphy had told me, there is so much more to see once ranked higher?

I got old man emu dakar w/aal leaf packs for 2" rear lift on the way, and I already have my bilstien 5100 adjustable to 2" and rear 5100s. Custom built sliders all being put together in two weeks. Unfortunately skids are going to take awhile to order and receive, but defiantly we will be attending the toys for tots run. I will know better next spring if im going to be a supporting member for work might become an issue. I attended the NEA meeting in niantic and found it to be really informing for how it all works, so we will see.

You should definitely become a supporting member so you can influence how the club does things.

This is all I could think of due to the name of the topic

So a supporting membership is needed in order to run for officer positions or whatever you guys call it?

Also a few times a year we have Supporting Member only runs. Usually Old Florida Road or the like. Besides that, non-Supporting Members pay $10 more each run for the event fee. Really, if you go on more than a couple runs a year, it’s worth your $$ to become a Paid Member. And like was already mentioned, you have a say in the direction of the club, be it voting or the eligibility to be nominated as an elected official. Currently V.P. and Secretary are up for nominations in the S.M. area.

On a side note. There is a lot going on behind the curtain, like Nick said. The NEA4WD meetings are a way to see who and how those in our wheeling community are working towards our interests. And why we have access to the properties we run. Attending a meeting is an eye opening experience. I suggest attending at least one.

Answered lol.... Yeah, I think in more ways it has been an unforgettable journey with all of you and so far, and ecspecily you Murphy, who took the time to invite me on a 13 hour long adventure last Saturday. I had a great time meeting some other groups and really getting a hands down feel of blue trails. I do spread the word about NEXTERRA and how it works to many of my clients through the land surveying work I do, considering these property owners have way to much land on there hands, and how they could make some extra money from mature and dedicated groups. But as we all know when the fun is over, we have to get back to life, work, kids, and other responsibilities, which can sometimes change the course of mod days or events. So with that said, I'm just going to continue to get the X to a comfortable level and look forward towards becoming a supporting member. Also Id like to add, it's not just the wheeling! It's involving family to start something new and be a part of something.

It was definitely an adventure. I was also reminded that what is accepted as a blue trail in the built Jeep and buggy community is what our club would consider as black.

I know that the Toys for Tots run isn't the most exciting. In fact, it's very tame. But it's for a good cause and, since it's on a Class 6 road to avoid land use fees, it's a really good opportunity for people to get their tires muddy for the first time to see if this is for them, before investing in some big mods. If we don't, do the South Shore Wheelers still hold an event?
