I agree with Mike. I joined when I first got my '04. I was just hoping to get some ideas on mods and learn about the truck. As it happened, one thing led to another and I came to realize that.. this not only is a truck club, it's a family. I started asking questions about what to do and what worked. I was expecting to get all kinds of sarcasm and flaming. NOTHING even close. I was greeted with open arms and some of the nicest people. Through my time of being a member, I not only have met some of the best people, I have learned a LOT. I can't say that about any of the other waste-of-time sites I joined. (None of which lasted very long.) The times I have had with this club are second to none. This is a family that has proven to me that they will do anything for you, no matter what. (you know who you are)
It's unfortunate that we don't all live closer and can get together more often. Not to mention the unfortunate economic situation that has caused some of us to abandon their rigs.
Last year, it killed Stacey and I to come to terms with not going to the Back to School Run at Scotts. I remember my first B2S Run there. I was ripping off my steps and mudflaps in the yard before the tent even went up!
Anyway, I would like to say Happy Birthday to the #1 Xterra club in the nation. Without you guys/gals, I would have one bored a$$ mofo...
I hope to get things together so I can make it out to see y'all again real soon.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEXTERRA.ORG:cheers:
