OK while I haven't been interested in the tire sales being posted lately but am I too old?? Did any of you whipper snappers actually WALK to school in the snow?

Doesn't anyone born after 1968 remember the penny tread test? Used to be that if pictures were used to show a tire, someone held a penny (head pointing to tire center) to give an idea of the tread depth. That way if Lincoln had a crew-cut showing, the tread was beyond use.










P.S.: No I am not really looking for an answer to my age question!

I had the good fortune of having a Navy Dad who liked the south and never saw any significant snow until I was in my early 20's and got stationed in Illinois.

As far as the penny test goes...I just took a picture of a Continental that came off of my Maxima that I'm going to sell and was wondering if I should have done that yesterday when I was taking the picture, but I figured people would just look at it and go "What the hell is he trying to prove there?" lol.

I still use the penny test and I was born in '84. Who doesn't? They sound awfully foolish...
