I have ordered new leaf springs from Alcan. They had a couple questions for me and I was unable to answer. Thought I would rack your brains here.

What is the size of the u-bolt on the second gen X?

They think it is 7 1/16 x x 3 x 7.

I'm running Alcan's on my 02 and they ran me around $500 mark. And you can have them make what size lift you want. I had them do 4.5" with a heavy payload. For all the gear I carry around..

3" lift with 650 pound increase over stock. about 625 including shipping. 250 each, but shipping 80 pounds of springs isn't going to be cheap.

I don't know the details on the second gens, but have worked on them many times. What every you do, don't get stock size U bolts with beefier springs, go with bigger diameter bolts. I would think that Alcan could set you up with the right size and sell them to you.

Scott yes they can. I ordered my u bolts right thru them. I ordered mine 2 sizes bigger. They can do any size, shape and thickness you want.

they are going to sell me a larger size because they said with these springs, I will need larger bolts. They just asked for some measurements of the existing u bolts like the diameter of the bolt, distance inside from end to end and is it round or square u bolt. Also length of u-bolt.
