You know how you can never get as much done in a day as you would like? Well, I had a rare day today and got twice as much done as I thought I would.
I got up early and started rebuilding the engine on my snowmobile. I had everything off around it already and it took me a 1/2 hour to tear it down and about two hours to put in new bearings, pistons, rings and gaskets. I cleaned the exhaust valves and reinstalled them and put the carburetors back on (I had already torn them apart and cleaned them) about ten pulls on the cord, Varoom! It fired up and ran great.
Since Jonelle didn't get up for church, I never stopped. Yeah, I missed Palm Sunday. I then put lime on the whole lawn and when Jonelle got back from the store, I put on new rear brakes, rotors, calipers and pads on her car. I then went out and fertilized the lawn with crabgrass killer; came back in and bleed the brakes. Putting brakes on the Element was a lot easier this time after having been through it twice. Still not like working on an Xterra.
Now, it's time for a break and then up to make roast chicken for supper.
The only thing I didn't get done that I could have is rebuild the clutches on the snowmobile, but I need some parts and that's for another day.

I planned on waxing and painting the plastic on the X today but, I'm a little upset with her. She's been getting the finger and has heard threats yelled out the window that she's going to be replaced by a Tacoma. Instead I attempted to clean up the yard, didn't get to do half as much as I wanted because the elbow still isn't 100%. And I managed to find out that I lost my 2nd job because I wasn't able to work the last 8 weeks due to my injuries. So it wasn't a great weekend financially for me! Anyone need their lawn mowed or a babysitter?

I finally got all the mess from the ice storm cleaned up in my front yard. I still have some logs to cut up but my piece of crap chainsaw won't run more than 15 minutes. I also dropped off my X for the exhaust manifold that is finally being replaced tomorrow. That, with an oil change and checking why the engine light came on a whopping $900.00!!!! I'm going to need to play the lottery. Bummer to hear about the job Big.

The ice storm, tahts what created my work today. I burnt a lot of it, mostly pine. Thanks to all the trees that came down in my yard and the woods behind me, I now have plenty of wood for summer night fires.

Did all my work yesterday w/new pads and rotors on the X. Today went over to the parents house. Worked on Dads Tundra (f'n yota). Brought flowers and made dinner for Mom. Chemo has been rough on her this time. Good weekend though, X sounds a lot better. Time to look for a daystar lift!

Since I don't have my X back yet, I did work around the house - such as doing the lawn, cleaning out and clearing out the garage and rebuilding a friend's laptop.
Beyond that, I was able to get in some Halo, which helped with my mood.

i used my tractor and plowed all the leaves in the woods to the end of the property. Its a long story, but it was a LOT of leaves and raking them up would be impossible. A compost pile now.
