I'm in Suffield, CT..
I have a lot of tools that we could use - and I'm willing to contribute to the effort. But, if we need something more than a sawzall and cutoff wheel to get the old UCAs out, we could be in for a long day.

If you'd like, you could come up here and we could do the shackles and assess the UCAs.

Let me know. I'll come out and help..

But more than a sawzall probably isn't needed to get the UCA's out. It's mainly to cut the cam bolts.

If y'all meet up at Mike's I'd be up for stoppin' by and turning a wrench. For some reason, my calender says that that I'm doing a run that day, but I can't remember with who or where. If it's nice I will bring the bike and it'll give me a chance to install my new windshield :naner2:

Svendog (mike if I remember); if that is a willingness to host I'd love to take you up on that offer.

I have a sawzall as well with Demolition cut-off blades that can take care of anything. I have new cam bolts and nuts, just not new washers so I don't see a problem there if we just have to hack them off.

All other bolts have been at least broken open.

I'll try in the next day or two to see if I can confirm all bolts are ready to be taken off. This would include the U-bolts for the rear and at least the T-bar bolts as well.

Ok, looks like I need this more then I thought. I just went to spray the bolts and noticed a lot of clearence for my upper bump stops.

Measuring my height (close to level ground) I'm at about a 2" rake right now. I knew I was having alignment problems and I think this is why.

I spoke to Brian last night. He has plans already on May 18.

I spoke to Jesse this morning, and he's going to check his schedule when he gets home tonight, and will get back to me about the date.

While you are under there spaying, make certain you are also spaying the spines on both ends of each T-bar. Also, make sure you have a propane, or better yet, mapp torch on hand to heat up those anchors and pound off the T-bars.

Mike knows what to do as we did it on his truck.

x2 on the reccomendation of the mapp torch...much hotter and its what I used to remove my tbars...and then when you put the new ones in make sure to slather them with an anti-sieze compound to make things easier in the future....

Eric, I apologize for the late reply on this. I spoke with Jesse last night, and he won't be available on the 18th. I hope this doesn't ruin your plans.

I think that Mike (Svendog) was willing to host. I was going to try and confirm that with a message in the next day or two.

He is less then an hour from me so it might even work out perfectly.

We've been looking to do a run on the 18th.
Can you push it off a week or so? That might help to get us some other people who have the skills to join up...

And, if Shmittey's got some other parts that he wants to install, we might be able to do a couple items at once.

Let me know. I don't have the MAPP torch, but from what Scott showed me, it's not a big deal to get one and get it used.

oh, and get the washers.. if you don't need them, you can return them.. but, if we snap the tooth on it, an alignment will be about impossible because the bolt and nut will not spin properly.

Oh, so I need the bolts, nuts, and washers?

I just have the bolts and nuts right now.

Ok, I guess I can put it off for a week or two.
